Adidas Samba Primeknit

On Sunday March 16, soccer player Luis Suarez wore a very unique pair of cleats at his game against Manchester United with a victory of 3-0. The Uruguayan wore the first pair of hand-knitted soccer boots by adidas, the "Samba Primeknit". This limited edition boot, available Monday March 17, will only have 150 pairs sold globally. The Samba Primeknit is the first football boots designed with a fully knitted upper from heel to toe and provides a bespoke second-skin fit that retains the strength of a conventional boot, stated by adidas.

Primeknit combines the comfort and responsiveness of playing barefoot with the protection of a traditional design.

The Primeknit's advanced production techniques allows for different zones to cater for various performance needs.

Each yarn is treated with high precision coating to ensure water resistance even in the wettest conditions.

The one piece upper is constructed without wasting any material.

In my opinion, it's pretty neat to see the technology Adidas has come up with to make such a unique pair of football boots and the first ever. It's definitely something that possibly created history in the making when it comes to football boots. I personally wouldn't wear these just because I have a preference when it comes to cleats, but I do applause Adidas in creating something different for the world to see.

Topshop x Adidas Originals Collection

Today (March 20) marks the day that one of my favourite stores, Topshop teams up with Adidas Originals Collection and I couldn't be more excited. I'm brand loyal to Adidas Originals and now that it's going to be offered at one of my favourite stores, and it's probably gonna offer exclusive Adidas apparel compared to other stores that offer Adidas Originals Collection because of Topshop's unique, trendy, and European style. Here's a look at some of the collection they offered today, and already some of their apparel are sold out!

The style is sporty yet trendy, just the style I like. I can't wait to see what else this new collaboration will come out with in the near future and I can't wait to visit Topshop to make some new purchases!

Here's the link to the Topshop Site to check it out.

Nike SB Lunar Gato "World Cup Pack"

As the World Cup approaches closer and closer, I can't help but get more excited because it is my favourite event to look forward to and different merchandise and shoes get released as the event approaches closer. Such as Nike releasing the "World Cup Pack" Nike SB soccer inspired Lunar Gato. They feature the colours of Brazil, England, Holland, and France. Each shoes sports various hues of red, blue, black and green with white midsoles, and gum sole bottoms.

I personally love the lunar gatos, I have a pair of white ones myself and they are comfortable to wear as indoor/futsal shoes or just to wear as lifestyle. I think I will personally purchase a pair what about for the rest of you soccer fanatics?

Here's a closer look at each individual team shoe.

Brazil sporting the green and yellow.

Holland sporting the black and orange.

England sporting the red and white.

France sporting the blue and red.

The Grammy's 2014

This past weekend the biggest night in music was among us, the Grammys! I love awards season because of the outfits the celebrities wear and seeing how beautiful and stylish some of them dress on the red carpet, and of course some of the odd choices some may wear as well. I'd like to share some of my favourites for the evening.

One of my favourite artists, Alicia Keys wearing this beautiful wide-cut cobalt colour dress that goes perfectly with her skin complexion. It's fitted, simple, but still sexy.

I thought this Joanna Johansson dress looked absolutely stunning on Pink! The colour, the fit, the design, everything looked perfect.

Ariana Grande looked adorable in this floral Dolce & Gabbana dress. It was definitely age appropriate and she wore the right heels and the had the right hairstyle to match perfectly.

Model Christine Teigen (John Legend's wife) looked amazing in this dress. Not everyone can pull of a sequinned dress like this, but I think she sure did, from head to toe.

One of the most questionable outfits for the night was one of my favourite trendy and stylish male celebrities, Pharrel Williams. Not really sure the look he was going for that night, but he turned heads at the awards show with his "Arby's" looking hat and even got a tweet from Arby's asking for their hat back.

Until next time!

Hello everyone and welcome to my Blog!

My name is Alyssa and I am 22 years old. I live in Brampton, Ontario and I am a student currently studying Advertising and Marketing Communications at Sheridan College and I am in my second year. Apart from being a student, I am an athlete and play for Sheridan's women varsity soccer team and proud to be representing them. Soccer has always been a great passion of mine from the time I started playing, which was 4 years old. It's something I definitely can't see myself not being involved in because it makes me who I am today. I've got to travel different parts of the world with soccer such as Brazil, Chile, Turks & Caicos, across Canada and different parts of the U.S., which always kept me interested in travelling more and different parts of the world. For the soccer junkies out there, my favourite club team is FC Barcelona and my favourite country team is Brazil.

When I was younger I used to be a tomboy and only liked to wear what would make me comfortable. As I've gotten older, I suddenly developed a passion for fashion and love and idolize the different types of fashion and brands. I like to explore and try different styles and making myself look nice and wearing the make-up, doing my hair and nails. Shopping is definitely a hobby that I can do almost everyday, either buying a new pair of pants, or a new pair of shoes, or make-up. If I'm bored and don't have any work to do or have soccer, you can usually catch me at the mall, either walking around, window-shopping and seeing whats in stores and/or purchasing products. I don't necessarily have a specific style, but I do go for more of an "urban" look. I like my sneakers, like Jordans or Converse, but I do also like my fashionable boots as well. When I go out on the town, that's where my stilletos come out and it's probably where I am at my most girly stage.

So now that I've said a little bit about me and my interests and passions, you can see where I got the name of my blog from "Stilletos to Cleats" and will have a better idea of the type of things I will be posting.

Hope you enjoy my page!
